Tomb Raider Anniversary

More than a decade after Lara Croft made her console debut, Tomb Raider Anniversary is a remake of that original game. For some reason, I’d never played a Tomb Raider game prior to getting the Wii version, so to me all of this was brand new.

According to PlayStation 3 Magazine “Players should expect a minimum of 15 hours of gameplay, significantly longer than Legend.” Well, the game has given me about five months of infrequent playing, which is either an indictment to just how bad I am at games, or it is a testament to how long and hard this game is. You be the judge, I should note that I referred to a walkthrough on several occasions, and yet it still took me half the year to complete....

Movies of 2007: The Middle Ground

Last year, I started to keep a record on Flickr of all the films I watched. This was inspired by the insanely active movie watcher Peter Noster I had planned to blog about this over Christmas/New Year, but due to the fact that I was working all over the festive period I forgot all about it until now.

Indiana Jones & The George Lucas Problem

To kick off, I’m not a huge fan of the original Indiana Jones trilogy. It’s not that I don’t like the films, I just would far rather sit down and watch The Mummy. The is probably my childhood fascination with Egypt showing through, but I obviously appreciate the legacy of Indiana on the adventure movies that have followed in the 20 years after the last instalment. That said, along with my Indy loving girlfriend we trooped off to the cinema, for about two hours of fedora and whip, tomb raiding fun.
