About Maltese

Maltese

My blog uses Habari and a custom theme I have created, which is not for distribution. The theme 'Maltese' is named after the 1941 film The Maltese Falcon.

Sections of the Maltese theme are based on 281 by Paul Stamatiou and K2 by Michael Heilemann.

Like Jon Hicks, I agree that viewing the source code is the best way to learn and discover new skills in website design, so please go ahead investigate and every nook and cranny of my site and its source.

Ask any questions if you need to, however all I ask is that you do not steal wholesale; plagiarism is no way to learn!

About the film

Named as one of the greatest films of all time by Roger Ebert, and was cited as the first film of the 'film noir' genre, The Maltese Falcon stars Humphrey Bogart as private investigator Sam Spade, Mary Astor as his femme fatale client.

The story concerns the entanglement of a San Francisco private investigator with three greedy, unscrupulous and murderous adventurers who compete with each other to obtain a fabulous jewel-encrusted statuette of a falcon worth millions.
