Top Gear Returns Tonight
Sunday, 28 January 2007. Television.
After my terribly over passionate post about Richard Hammond's well publicised accident, and the possibly that Top Gear would be consigned to the the scrapheap of telly land, the new series starts tonight at 8pm on BBC Two.
If like me you are a relative newcomer to the programme, and have missed much of the last eight series, you can fill up on all the highlights thanks for the wonders of internet video streaming.

Apparently footage of the 288mph crash will be broadcast tonight, which sounds slightly ghoulish, except that it will no doubt be accompanied by snide and sarcastic comments from the marvellously disreputable, and highly opinionated Jeremy Clarkson.
Now he may be as controversial as asking Michael Jackson to become a children's entertainer at a nudist camp, but I will leave this post with a quote from Clarkson himself talking about Britain:
We're not really a nation of zinc kitchen surfaces and brushed aluminium; we're more a nation of Wetherspoons, and Heat Magazine and... chlamydia.
Class.
