Slippers on the BBC
Friday, 02 February 2007. Life and Television.
Update: STORYFix is no longer operated by the BBC.
You know something is wrong with the world, when your slippers are more famous than you are yourself.
STORYFix is produced by the BBC, and is broadcast on News 24, the BBC website and on interactive TV. It is a satirical view of the week's events, delivered, very very quickly (5 mins), using about twenty graphics and a hundred shot changes in it.
You can get it as a video podcast, which is worth subscribing to if you have iTunes. Anyway, each week that ask for people to send in photos of something or other, and last week they wanted that most English of footwear... the slipper.
I dutifully obliged by sending a photo of my Eddie Stobart slippers; possibly the coolest slippers of all time... a present from my cool girlfriend. The STORYFix producer agreed and said that "they are truly slippers of distinction".
Anyway, you can download my slippers in their starring role via the BBC site. And yes- slippers, are cool. No matter what anyone says.
