Lots of December Notes , and

It's December, and I haven't posted for a over a month so I apologise for that. To make up for it, I have a few brief notes to tell you about.

In no particular order, I need to cover a film or two, the Writers Guild Strike, my brother's moment of fame, and a few more bits and pieces.

Tell No One: I try not to write about my job often, but I happen to know that if you have Sky Movies, you really have to check out Tell No One later this month. Intelligent French thriller, brilliant action set pieces, only surpassed by The Bourne Ultimatum as the best movie I've seen this year. The film is also available on DVD.

The Writers Guild Strike: The last major WGA strike in 1988 lasted 22 weeks, this one has already been going on over a month and I am seriously missing The Daily Show. For a brief overview of the issues in the strike, this video explains them clearly. Support the writers, because we all know that the big companies are bastards.

I doubt things will be sorted before the official primaries kick off, but I really do hope a settlement is reached before the new season of Bill Maher.

Bailrigg FM: My brother has a radio show on Sunday mornings 10-12, why not listen to him? Apparently Department of Eagles has written them a song, and will be unveiled on next week's show. Mark is also in the process of getting Tom McRae on the show... a talented younger brother.

Keira Knightley: Today I discovered that Keira Knightley is only 16 days older than me... strangely this makes the possibility that she will one day realise that I am her destiny and fall madly in love with me, entirely believable. If anyone knows Keira, tell her that I am waiting... I'll put the kettle on.

Torrent: Demonoid has been offline since the beginning of November, I feel lost and alone without it.

New Apple Keyboard: My girlfriend got me the new aluminum Apple Keyboard as a kinda "wanted to buy you something, no reason really" present. It is beautiful, the design is almost flat, silent to touch, an athletically perfect piece of hardware.

Apple Keyboard

Took some time to get used to it, but the hotkeys for iTunes are great. Yay for Apple design.

Right, that's all for now. Please excuse me whilst I crack on with watching season two of The Sarah Silverman Program.
