Blue Harvest Television
When I reviewed the Simpsons Movie, I made reference to my preference to Family Guy. Well the sixth-season premiere episode is due to be broadcast September 23th in the US. Obviously the UK broadcast date will be at some point way down the road, but there are ways of getting round that.
The hour long episode entitled "Blue Harvest" is a retelling of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, with Chris Griffin as Luke Skywalker, Peter as Han Solo, Lois as Princess Leia, and Stewie as Darth Vader.
I admit that I'm not much of a fan of the Star Wars films, but milkandcookies.com have a 10 min preview from the episode, and if this is an example of the Sixth season, then Family Guy has got a renewed vigor.
Looking ahead to some of the other episode titles, "Play It Again, Brian" looks like it could be a parody of some of my favorite movies Casablanca, whilst episode "McStroke" appealed to me simply because the original episode title was due to be "Peter Strokes His Meat."
