Apple UK Ads

Monday, 29 January 2007. and .

Apple have just released some new localised UK adverts as part of their "Get A Mac" campaign. Robert Webb and David Mitchell star as Mac and PC respectively.  This is not the first localised version of the adverts, Japan have had their own.

Personally I think its the like-ability of Mitchell and Webb that save these adverts, that said most of them are a rehash of the original US ones. The two that stand out are "Tentacle" and "Pie Chart". Pie Chart is a variation on the US one, whilst Tentacle is UK only. Frankly any advert that manages to use the words "Shenanigans" and "Tom Foolery" is OK in my book. On the forums over at macrumors.com, they were discussing the adverts and Jamie Curmi, pointed out a possible angle for the Australian version of Pie Chart:

"This light grey area represents just piss-fartin' around, the dark grey area represents doing bugger-all."

hehehe.
