Read the rest of this entry »Forgive the somewhat rambling nature of this post, but since taking a 'proper' job in the Media Industry means 'shift work', I'm suffering from lack of sleep. Over the last four months I've been working a five day blocks of day shifts and night shifts. Although I dislike working nights immensely, it is part of the job and I just have to live with it.
The first night is generally the easiest, you start to feel sleepy about 3ish, but then a burst of energy comes shortly after and away you go till the rest of the shift. The second night is the worst, you've used up your 'energy burst', and from that point onwards, its not so pleasant....
Read the rest of this entry »BBC Radio 4 is worth the license fee alone. There, I've said it, and I am proud to have done so. The flagship station of the BBC, costing more than £71.4 million a year it is the second most popular British domestic radio station after Radio 2.
I've been an avid listener of Radio 4 for many years now, waking up to the Today Program has become the only way I can function properly each morning. However, Radio 4 has given so much to the world, particularly in the field of comedy. Little Britain, Alan Partridge, The League of Gentlemen, and many others all started life on Radio 4, so I thought I would give you some suggestions to make your life better....
