The Simpsons Movie

Wednesday night, I went along to the advanced screened of The Simpsons Movie.

Released worldwide today, its been 18 years since the yellow family from middle America arrived on screens. In this 87 minute film Homer mistakenly pollutes the river with toxic waste from the power plant, he loses his job and forces evacuation from Springfield, possibly forever. E.S. Posthumus

In January 2001, the mysterious band E.S. Posthumus released a thoroughly unexpected album: Unearthed.

The album lasts just over 58 minutes, and if you didn't know any better you would think it was a soundtrack to a film, in fact it reminds me of the score to Gladiator. The sound of Unearthed is hard to categorize, it is a cinematic style of epic classical music that fuses intertwined drum beats with orchestral and electronic sounds.  Read the rest of this entry »
