Serious Organised Crime

I thought I would write this, whilst you still have the chance to hear it.

Mark Thomas is an English comedian and political activist, and recently he had a one off show on BBC Radio 4. Mark Thomas: My Life in Serious Organised Crime, is the (true) story of his campaign against the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 which requires anyone wishing to protest near the Houses of Parliament to obtain a permit. However, what counts as a demonstration according to the police is one person with a banner or one person with a badge standing in Parliament Square for just one minute. Never Coming Home

This won't win me many friends, but truth and sanity are more important in life.

The plight of missing British toddler, Madeleine McCann, is indeed very sad and all but the coldest of hearts would wish for her safe return. However, when newspapers and media organizations make the idiot and selfish parents out as the tragic victims, it is sick, sensationalist and irresponsible....

Eurovision

On Saturday, and estimated 100 million people watched the cultural train wreck that is Eurovision. As ever, Sir Terry Wogan did his, (increasingly drink sounding), commentary which only just manages to make the whole hideous event bearable to watch.

Serbia stormed home with 268 points. I didn't think the song was up to much, but thats Europe for you. Top marks for effort to the Ukraine and female impersonator Verka Serdyuchka, a silver christmas tree with Jordan sized breasts and a silver star perched on top of her/his head....

A Logical Batman

With the UK release of Spider-Man 3 today, I feel the need to announce my problem with the whole premise of the story.

As you know, teenager Peter Parker is bitten by a radioactive spider during a school trip. The spider bite gives Peter an array of spider-like powers, including wall-crawling, superhuman strength, speed and agility, and an extra-sensory "spider-sense"....
